BMW 320 Group5

Here comes something special to be build. The basic is a slotcar from Revell. Step by step a extraodinary modell is
created, .... . Even I am curious about the result.
The 320 on the way .....

The next step

The first step is done

When I haved bought this BMW, it should varnished into the M-Design, but with the Warsteiner Logos it’s lookes also
very well J thats the problem, when a car is bought to become a new varnish with other decals, and this car is in my
hands...... shit .... it look very good don’t do it!
Back to the BMW: in the M-design he fit to the other from Fly (BMW M1, BMW CSL) but then I saw a picture from Roy
Lichtenstein. So I started to surche for this decals in scale 1:32 ..... NOWHERE can I found these!!!! What can I do? Roy
Lichtenstein is a great painter, so can we try to daub this car?? I asked my doughter ...... NO problem! The car get
deconstructed, sand and than brushed with Tamiya White. By the Slotmania I take a look to decals in 1:24! Can we reduce it
until 1:32? Maybe! At home we put the decals into the scanner, reduce it, printed with a inkjet and brushed clear
varnish.
Some days later Revell will bring the BMW 320Group5 with the M-design, what a coincidence!!!
In this connection I must show you a special homepage , which I found while searching for pics of the art-cars. On this page
each several art-car is described composed with little movies: http://www.7-forum.com/artcars/ . Take a look on it.
Who attentive follows the building article, may be confused why it doesn’t go on… But it’s simple: the
decals of the rearwing doesn’t fit and the decal of the door has to be printed again. Both are going to be
clearvarnished this afternoon, after that they have to dry and then the story will go on…
And another curse, why it doesn’t go on: ALL DECALS have to be printed new again! Now the colours are more brightful. I
had to remove all of them and polished the car again.
Now Im realy confident with the result, but make your own decision

The one thing what was missing was the wedding, the montation of the body and the chassi with the engine, so to speak. There he is completed.

To be not continued anymore ;-)
