One special car of my Le Mans 1970 Collection
Here I want you to present a very special model. The searching ranged over many month in the internet, through
online-shops und several forums. On a Spanish site I founded it for the first time: Porsche 914/6 GT in the Le Mans version
of Evolution Slot. I did must have these model, because it was missing in my collection of Le Mans 1970. (But there are still
some more possible colour variations, but read more later about it).
A new german forum, which especially dicusses the theme scratchbuilding in 1:32, was build up in 2006. There meet some people
who are not only interested in average models and changed there cars with their own hands: revarnishing, complete
deconstructions and new developments of individual peaces. Nothing seemed impossible excepting of my 914.
By the way, there was some secret myth about one prototype, but we couldn't find any information about it. Time went on.
One big step for these forum was the partnership with a Spanish discussion-platform. This was possible, because of some
slotters who were presenting their models all over the world… In this case Homer opened the door for the contact to
Spain..
I thought: SPAIN!?!...Evolution Slot…Porsche 914/6 GT…Le Mans 1970 - there HAS to be a solution!!! Matthias had
the same thoughts, and talked to new friend in Spain: "Does anybody know something about Evolution Slot? Does anybody know a
shop? Or does anybody has this model we are searching for?" This calling, nearly screaming was supported by some more Le Mans
collectors. And there was an echo!!! Joan from Barcelona: "I know someone of Evolution Slot. We'll see whats going on"
Only believing in the good things of the world, I was very hopeful ;)!
It rest for several days, but we still got an answer, PN's of Homer: we should collect the manes of everybody who wants this
beautiful model, they want to produce some for us!!!
THATS UNBELIEVABLE!
The story is quickly told to his end: Homer matched everything, collected the money, sanded it to Spain and late dispersed
the models in Germany.
Big commendation to Matthias, Homer and Joan… And what else can I say to this picture:

9 (!!!!) Porsche 914/6 GT of Evolution Slot made out of Resine in 1:32
and here two models of us

A building report will follow soon, a chassis with engine is standing right beside ;-) thanks Dani!

here you can see what is in the building set
Now I could go on to build this beautiful racer. Putting the car body on the chassis…and…the wheels weren't able to move; so some peaces of the inside had to be removed (red lines on the picture).

A new change on the chassis: the front axle was to much in the front area, not much at all, but it had to be changed!

The axle-adapter was separated from the chassis

and refixed, but 1,5 mm backwards.

So it looks much better :-)

the co-pilot had to be removed
and here you can see the body grounded for the first time.

the 914er is painted and and is waiting for the engine and the interior

as you can see I’m building some models at the same time

naturally a 914 feels comfortable next to his racing-partners :-)

and here another pic from the body shop, some more details were put on

It’s done! Another racer from Le Mans 1970is finished.
