Here a pic from rare models

Again a resin maker from France ;-), made these great models for me. It would also be possible to scratch these cars on
Proto bases, but I decided me fort he other way with the same intention: Having all cars from le Mans 1970. After my order, I
couldn’t wait to have the cars in my hands…
Two weeks later, I recieved the first prototype pictures… Incredible what he made in such a short time. Oh, I forgot:
The three Matra versions were made on my demand. I found Jérôme on the internet. He had already made Matras in
scale 1/32 but not the versions from Le Mans 1970. I wrote him a mail and he said that it’s no problem for him to make
the cars.
And some weeks later I had the cars here.
I build the cars on a Fly Porsche 908 chassis. It’s an ideal base, from which I will use some parts of the bodywork,
too. I trimmed the chassis a little bit to make it fit. For that you have to make all sides smaller, watch for the
wheels… You also have to replace the front suspension a little bit so that it fits perfect.

You can see the changes on this picture. They are marked in red color.

The number 30 with a fixed chassis
The driver is ready to fire the 12 cylinder off … you can see him smiling J You have to sand a lot until everything fit like on my pictures… The whole interior was adapted from a FLY Porsche 908. I also putt he dashboard from he 908 in my Matra. One part follows the other…

Here you can see the new fixations at the body. A new hole fort he front bol is necessary so I moved it 2mm to the back.

After the first priming coat you can see some small holes which I have filled.

The cage is finished, the interior also, some details are waiting for the painted car. The driver needs the matching overall … so I have to paint the car now!

It is varnished in white...waiting while trying...
Right, on the right hand you can imagine an 300SLR Uhlenhaut...Again an very special (resine- modell (!!!) is going to be
build in my workshop...later more about it ;-)

Nows, it is going to be continued in blue at the matra. The colour-hue is mixed up at my on, adjusted to some fotos I found in the www. And while the Matra is trying, the overall and helm are to be finished.

The decals are fixed, a little bit of black is going to be varnished after the clear-coating...

In addition a few Dates and background knowledge about the Matra:
Matra competed in Le Mans also with an 660. They benifit from the know-how of the 650 and the MS 120 of the Formel1. In both
the same engine, 3L-12cylinder, was used. With this prototype we have a monocoque-construction, with which the engine has a
carrying function for the rear axle. The used the same wight-saving isues like in the Formel1, only the exterior brake disks
are different. In the front the brakes are forced aerated. The caroche is made out of polyester and because of this the 660
is lighter then the 650.
Some facts: 650 kg wight, tank capacy 119l, engine 12cylinder V60, 2999ccm, 450 PS, 15''-wheels in the front, 10''-wheels in
the back (rather 15 or 16'').
