A few words to this nice racer. The model, based on an Revell slotcar, was varnished with a color from the “Slotracing Werk“. The color is: “Silver smooth“. Cit.: “With this color you get a perfect aluminium look.“ And I must say that they are right. The perfect look for a race car of the good old 50ties, real aluminium and NOT metallic! After placing the decals I sealed the car with MIPA-top coat. Nothing special, exept of the fact that Motodrom132, a member of a forum, made the decals and not me. Thanks at this place for this good job!

At the beginnig of the race Hans Hermann had no luck. The transportation of the race cars lasted longer than planned and therefore there was not many time left for preparation. He himself became ill, but because of a special mixture of the Indios he could start in time.At the first stage he had problems with the new Dunlop-tires. The result: 5th in class, 21 minutes behind the leader. Problems at the second stage, too: The blower struck. 6 minutes more behind the leader... Was the race run?

From that very moment the Porsche runs without any Problems. Hans Herrmann catches up minute for minute. With enthusiasm the press is present at the chase. And the incognizable one happens: Herrmann and his brand mate Juhan went side by side through the finish line. After 3000 kilometres Herrmann won his class of small sports cars and was in the overall ranking 3rd behind the Ferrari drivers Umberto Maglioli and Phil Hill.
